Modality boundary
Palm vascular identifies subcutaneous vascular patterns and is not palmprint. NIR/illumination claims are attributed to CheckID only when device/test evidence supports them.
Palm vascular is separated from palmprint. Suitable optical capture (commonly near-infrared in vascular systems) yields a vascular representation for verification and identity binding. Mobile-ID-specific use is linked to Trusted Palm ID without transferring vendor claims.
Vascular capture → quality/ROI → representation → matching → evidence
Palm vascular identifies subcutaneous vascular patterns and is not palmprint. NIR/illumination claims are attributed to CheckID only when device/test evidence supports them.
Distance, hand placement, illumination and sensor optics can control quality. Public documentation does not reuse another vendor’s operating envelope as a CheckID specification.
Usable vascular region, motion, placement and contrast are modality-specific issues. Quality results must be tied to a sensor/test profile.
Enrollment should capture subject association and capture context where the implementation supports it, without inventing a template format.
1:1 or 1:N is claimed only from process/matcher sources. “Palm vascular supported” does not automatically mean both verification and identification are production-ready.
Capture failure, insufficient vascular signal/quality, missing enrollment and no-result outcomes remain separate failure classes where implementation sources expose them.
